Yesterday, I was in a mad dash to get things done before Mom's arrival.
Thank goodness Brandon was there to help me. At about 3pm, we finally ate lunch. Well, Brandon did.
Amidst our errands, he decided he wanted a sub from Harris Teeter's deli -I told him we didn't have time to sit down anywhere. I didn't get a sub because I knew Mom and I would be eating an early dinner before the pageant at about 6pm. But of course, I can always go for a snack. So, next to the deli there was a tray of pizza samples. No one was there, just the tray of pizza slices.
Brandon will not eat a sample from anywhere and told me not to grab one for myself. But, I didn't give into that "you don't know how long that has been sitting there. you don't know who has touched it" nonsense & enjoyed a tiny slice.
Let's fast forward to last night before the pageant...
During the pageant, I started feeling uncontrollably tired. I wasn't able to eat much beforehand because my stomach was in knots. I just attributed my tiredness to my lack of food (no food = no energy).
Fast forward to 11pm and my wave of nausea. Then fast forward to this morning at 11am.
That's how long it (the gross part) lasted.
Food poisoning from that slice of pizza? That's the only thing I ate that no one else ate.
Mom googled food poisoning and I have all of the symptoms, even down to feeling achey all over and not being able to get comfortable because of the back pain. Course, we all trust Google MD, right?
Thank goodness Mom was here to take care of me. What are the chances?
Have any of you had food poison before? Awful, right?
I'm still in bed and haven't slept since Friday night. Nurse Brandon has taken over Mom's shift.
Well, I just wanted to say hello to all of my lovely readers while I felt good enough to look at the computer. Oh, and to congratulate Erika Powell for winning the title of Miss SC USA 2012!
